Blessing Dress
Anthony's mom and sister Melinda made a beautiful blessing dress for McKenzie and they won't be able to see her get blessed, so tonight I did a quick photo shoot so they can see McKenzie in her dress. Here are some of the shots. I like this one because she crossed her hands and is showing off her bracelet(I used the binky holder as a bracelet). You can also see her lovely booties. I have to figure out how to make the hair bow cuter.
Here you can see how long it is. Don't worry Lisa when you come we will get professional pictures done, mine didn't turn out to great.

5 days later

Here is a picture I took of McKenzie just lounging around the house.

I am finally home. McKenzie was a nightmare to deliver. Parker was 9lbs and I had him vaginally, but my petite little Kenzie had to be a c-section. After a couple hours of pushing, the doctor tried the vaccuum and finally decided he needed to do a c-section. I am finally home 5 days later. Thank goodness my mom is here to take care of me, it doesn't matter how old I am my mom can always make thing better.

McKenzie finally arrived December 13, at 8:31 pm. She weighs 7 lbs 13.5 oz. and is 20 1/2 inches long.
I thought I'd get some pictures up for all to see. Kristie is doing well and is expected to come home on Monday.
I am not that great at posting blogs, Kristie normally takes care of this. I am sure we will have some better pictures once Kristie comes home.

9 months of waiting
Today is the big day, they are finally admitting me to the hospital. Here is
one last belly shot and a shot of the family before we add McKenzie to the mix. We will let you know when the baby comes. Just so you know my body is slow at this baby thing so don't expect to hear anything until tomorrow night, she better be here then.

Santa
I learned today that Parker hates Santa. This picture shows an idea of how hysterical Parker was, but it doesn't quite catch the terrified scream/cry Parker let out when Santa tried to stand by us. It was funny to watch Parker as Santa made his way through the group. Parker would watch him like a hawk and as soon as he was within 5 feet he started panicking. Poor kid, maybe next year he will warm up to Santa.

Aquarium
Last Thursday Parker and I went with some friends to the Aquarium by Niagara Falls. It was the smallest aquarium I have ever been to. I don't think I would ever pay to go there again, but spending time with our friends was definitely worth it. Here is a picture of Parker and his friends Weston and Ciella looking at a porcupine, who would have thought they would have a porcupine at an Aquarium. After the aquarium we went shopping at the outlet malls. We went to Old Navy and Parker found a blue bear that looks similar to his bear he sleeps with. He wouldn't let me take it away the whole time we were in the store. He loved it so much I bought it planning to replace the old bear with his new bear. When we put Parker down for bed that night we gave him the new bear and he threw an absolute fit. He was so mad he stood up and threw the bear out of his crib he would have nothing to do with it. Anyone in need of a blue bear? We have an extra:)

Fun Weekend
This Saturday was a fun day. It finally snowed enough for the snow to stick on the ground, so I took Parker outside to play in it. He loves the snow, he just seems so amazed that when he puts his foot in snow it leaves a foot print. Although Parker loved the snow he still prefers the bike over the snow.
My friends Melanie and Jessica threw Abby and I a joint baby shower, we are both due within 3 days of each other. They did a great job, I had so much fun. Abby and I both got tons of cute girl things. Abby is a litter luckier than me because as I type this blog she is in the hospital delivering the baby. I am pretty sure I have 2 more weeks until McKenzie is going to be around to try out all her cute clothes. This is a picture of me, Melanie, and Abby, Jessica had to run home so I didn't get a picture of all of us.
Anthony's dental school hosted a fund raiser at a bowling alley so we spent the afternoon bowling. It was fun. Anthony was quite the bowler. We put the bumper rails up and with Anthony's help Parker got a spare. I was very grateful for the bumpers because it improved my score quite a bit:)Then to top off the night Anthony and I got to go on a date. We went to my work Christmas party. I had to blog our fun day because with finals coming and a baby coming I don't think I am going to have to many exciting things to blog about other than me getting a nap.

Chocolate Muffin
This morning I had to get ready for work, but Parker wanted to eat breakfast. I thought to myself no problem I'll just get him his food, and I will get ready while he eats. My plan worked nicely Parker would yell mom when he wanted more, and every now and then I would check on him. I felt pretty good about my multitasking. He ate a bananas, cereal, and now wanted a muffin so I handed him the muffin and went back to straightening my hair. I stepped out of the bathroom to check on him and this is what I found, a chocolate covered Parker. Last I heard when you eat, the food goes in the mouth, I guess Parker never learned this lesson. His food was all over his face, on his eyes, hair, pajamas and all over my table. What a mess, but the smile on his face: priceless.Saturday, November 24, 2007
Friendship bread
So I went to playgroup and the girl hosting it gave everyone a starter kit to make Friendship bread. This is a bread that can only be started by the Amish, so it is real special. Here are the rules, you take the bag and each day (for 10 days) you have to do what the directions say for the day.
So for example day 1 all I had to do was mash the batter mix. It isn't to high maintenance, you just can't forget to do the direction for each day. Today was day 10, time to make the bread. I started at 2:30 and I just barely took the last loaf out of the oven at 9:10. The bread is good, but I am not so sure it should be called friendship bread. Do you really give your friends something that has to be done daily, then takes 6 hours to make? I am going to have to do some re-evaluating to see if my friend is really a friend or if she is out to get me:)

Thanksgiving
This year was a quiet Thanksgiving. We got together with our friends Abby, Jeff and Max. When I moved to Buffalo and meet Abby, I was totally like, she and I are living the same life. We both married a Taylorsville Warrior, have a son in nursery and are expecting a baby girl the same week. I later also learned we were both born on Halloween, I am 2 years older, but how crazy is that? It was a quiet but very fun Thanksgiving. The food was great and the company was great.
Abby and I are modeling our beautiful bellies. In only a couple weeks those bellies are going to be a lot flatter.
This was our first time ever cooking a turkey, and Anthony did an excellent job. Here he is carving the turkey. I have heard nothing but horror stories of peoples first time cooking a turkey, so I was very nervous. Our turkey turned out great thanks to Anthony's killer cooking skills.
Here is Parker and his friend Max. They spent the whole night running around, so it was a little hard to get a picture of them holding still. This is the best we could do.

Saturday Mornings
This is how Antonio' and Parker like to spend their Saturday morning. Growing up Anthony's dad always made breakfast on Saturday mornings, and it is a tradition Anthony wanted to keep. So every Saturday morning Parker and Anthony make waffles together.Once all the batter is mixed Parker watches the waffle iron and tells his dad when the light goes off. As Anthony takes out the waffles Parker likes to grab one and just stands there eating waffle after waffle, telling dad when more are ready. It is very cute.
Parker has usually eaten so many waffles by the time all the batter is cooked, that he is full. My favorite part about it is they get some bonding time while I get to sleep in.

1 Month

Great news, I only have one more month left until McKenzie is going to make her appearance. I thought I would take a picture of my belly now and see how much bigger I get in the next month. Hopefully if my belly gets any bigger it is because of McKenzie and not the delicious Thanksgiving Dinner I plan to be eating. Just encase any of you are curious how big the belly really is, the next time you are just hanging out in the bathroom with nothing to do roll out 10 squares of toilet paper and wrap it around your belly, that is how big I am.

My day tough day

If Parker had things his way he would spend his whole day outside riding his bike. So I thought I would post a picture showing you how Parker and I spend most our days. We get all bundled up then I go sit in my camping chair and read a book while Parker rides his bike hour on end. Every time I bundle him up he reminds me of that boy on The Christmas Story, except for the fact that his tongue isn't stuck to a poll.

My birthday
I turned 27, and am still feeln' good as new. For my birthday I got unlimited refills of Red Robin's strawberry lemonade (I have never tasted a strawberry lemonade better than Red Robin's), and a shopping trip with my husband. Anthony took me on the perfect date, of course I told him what we were going to do, he just did everything I asked like a good husband would. He went shopping with me and let me go into whatever store I wanted and look at whatever I wanted for however long I wanted. It was like a dream come true, he never once asked me if I was done or if we could leave. What a great husband I have.

Halloween
Here is Anthony carving his pumpkin. You might notice his fang teeth have grown since you last saw him. He had to make some fake teeth for one of his school assignments. What better time to show them off than Halloween.
Parker was so excited to carve pumpkins. He had a blast for about 20 minutes then we had to put him to bed because he was to grumpy. The pumpkins turned out great.

Here are the costumes. Parker was Officer Moeller. He loved the handcuffs the best. I was a inmate staying in the maternity ward. Anthony looking great in his hippy outfit and afro. He has been growing out his hair for the past 2 months to get it that long.

A little backwards
I warned you I am not a pro blogger yet so as you will notice I put these pictures on out of order. My road trip of New England starts with a picture of me holding Parks with the pretty trees in the background. So read the heading under that first, then you can look at all the pictures of where we went. This is a picture of me and Parker by a replica of the Mayflower.
Kristie, Parker, Angie and Maddie sitting as close as we can get to the Plymouth Rock.
Here it is in all its glory the Plymouth Rock. Just for the record I wouldn't recommend planning a trip to Massachusetts just to see the rock. It is a little longer than me, and looks just like a rock.
This is a picture of Parker's adopted grandparents. Brian's parents flew out from Utah for the trip. Parker loved them so much you would of thought he thought they were his grandparents. Every time we got out of the car he would run over to them, and gave them a huge hug. It is kind of funny Parker never caught on that I was following them in our car and it wasn't just a coincidence we always ended up in the same place.
A special thanks goes out to Angie and Brian who planned the whole trip. I came at the last minute, and the hotel room only had 2 beds so Brian slept on the floor every night so his pregnant sister in law didn't have to sleep on the floor. What a great guy.
Atlantic Ocean
On our road trip we went to the Atlantic Ocean, the water was freezing, but Parker loved playing with his cousins in the sand.
Maddie, Parker, and Ben loved playing in the water at one of the Children's Museum.
I got a little tired of driving all the time so I handed the wheel over to Parker.
In Boston we saw tons of famous peoples graves. This is a picture of John Hancock. We also saw Paul Revere's, Mother Goose, and Franklin Roosevelt's grave. I loved Boston, it was so fun to hear people's accents.
Here are the kids eating there night snack in the tub so the hotel didn't get covered in peach juice.
Road trip
Here is Joseph Smith's birth place. I thought it was kind of interesting it is marked with a park bench. They have a whole visiting center to tour, but the actual place where Joseph Smith's house was is marked with a bench.
Parker enjoying the free ice cream sample from Ben and Jerry's, after the tour.
I didn't bring Parker's swim suit diaper, so his cousin Maddie let him borrow hers so Parker could swim in the hotel pool.
Parker and I went on a road trip with my sister and her family to see New England in the fall. The leaves were beautiful, I was glad we took the trip. Poor Anthony couldn't miss any of his classes so we left him here. I was surprised how well Parker did in the car, we drove a couple of hours a day. His favorite car toy was a ball on a rope. He found out if he threw it just right he could get me in the head, it was hilarious to listen to his victory laugh the times he actually hit me.
One of our first stops was Springfield Massachusetts. This is where Dr. Seuss was born so and there is a little park dedicated to him. This is a picture of me and Parker next to the Grinch who stole Christmas.
Here is Parker next to Dr. Seuss and the cat in the hat.

Trick or Treat
Ladies Fingers

This week I was invited to a girls night out and I had to make a spooky treat, so I made Ladies fingers. The picture doesn't do the fingers justice. In real life they actually really look like witch fingers, they looked horrible. They tasted really good though, I would highly recommend the recipe to anyone who needs a spooky treat this Halloween.
