Best Dad Ever

3 times in the last week I have been lucky enough to hang out with some friends, and not have the company of my 3 cute kids. Anthony doesn't complain how long or short I am gone, and is always doing something fun with the kids when I get home. I am a lucky lady.

McKenzie's ABC's

Anthony came to me the other night excited and said "did you know McKenzie can sing her ABC's all by herself?" I just laughed, of course I know, I am the one who taught her. Mother's never get the credit they deserve.

Questions

I have a couple questions I just can't find answers to, like:

1. Why does a bird have to aim his morning poop for my kids' swings every day?
2. Why does Kaitlynn think, to make her food disappear, all she has to do is throw it on the floor?
3. Why does Kenzie think when the toilet paper roll is half gone, it is actually almost gone so she should just unravel the rest and flush it down the toilet?
4. Why does Parker think he can sit on the couch and yell "mom", and I will bring him whatever his little heart desires?
5. When did I get these bags under my eyes that are the size of craters?

McKenzie Day

Today Parker was at school and Kaitlynn was taking a nap so me and Kenzie had some fun together. I painted her nails, dressed her up like a princess, then we made cookies (more like I made the cookies she ate the good stuff that went in them). It was a fun day, I love this girl.

Kenzie teaching Kaitlynn

Tonight I walked into the living room and found Kenzie teaching Kaitlynn how to feed a baby a bottle. My heart just melted, it was priceless.
I loved that Kaitlynn just sat there listening.

The US Open

After just over 30 years of living I finally was able to go to the event of a lifetime. The US Open tennis tournament in Flushing Meadows, New York. My dad was also able to join me.

Here we are visiting Lady Liberty the day before the finals match.
If you followed the US Open you know that there were two rain delays. Here we are just getting back to the stadium after Monday's rain delay. One delay canceled the finals match for the day and the match was not played until Monday. This is the third year in a row the finals match has been delayed due to rain.
Here we are in Luis Armstrong stadium ready to watch the woman's doubles final just prior to the down-pour of rain that delayed the match until Monday.

Here is a shot of Rafael Nadal, the number 1 player in the world serving to Novak Djokovic the then number 2 player in the world. It doesn't happen very often that the number 1 and number 2 players in the world play each other in a finals match at the US Open. It was an awesome match to watch. The only set Nadal lost the entire tournament was the second set of the finals match.

Parker School

Today was Parker's 1st day of school. He was so excited, not even nervous for 1 second. I love this pose he struck for me when I asked if I could take his picture:

Kaitlynn 1 Year

One month late but worth the wait, here are Kaitlynn's 1 Year Pictures.
How can anyone ever say no to those beautiful blue eyes:
Eating her cake:

Because every girl needs a tutu:
My favorite outfit she wears:
Megan caught this sweet face perfectly. Kaitlynn always has a huge hug and smile waiting for Anthony or I if we just pick her up:

Raspberries

This week for playgroup we went to an orchard and picked raspberries and apples.
It was so stinkn' hot, but we were still able to have tons of fun.
We picked one and a half baskets-full of raspberries. The raspberries tasted so good by the time we got to the cashier we only had one basket-full left.
Kaitlynn was too cute. She quickly noticed there were lots of good raspberries on the ground, so she crawled from bush to bush eating all the good ones off the ground.
Then we played at the playground for a while, how can you not love those cute cheeks?

Swing

My job just got a little easier because I no longer have to push Parker on the swing. He has perfected pumping.
