A hammock and beautiful baby

Anthony showed the kids today what a hammock is, they loved it.Kaitlynn is an angel she is one week old today. We all love having her around, her favorite things to do are: sleep, eat, and being held. She is content as can be and hardly ever cries.
I wish I was good at taking pictures.

She is here

Kaitlynn Jo made her appearance Friday July 24th. She weighs 7lbs 9 oz and was 19 inches long. It was love at first sight, she is a beautiful content baby we love her and are so excited to have her in the family.
Anthony has been the best husband/dad ever. He has taken over as super dad since Kaitlynn arrived, he cooks the meals, cleans the house, and keeps the older 2 kids entertained while I get feeling better and take care of Kaitlynn.
Look how proud Parker is, he is so cute with her.
Kenzie has nothing but kisses for her new little sister.

The Boards

Anthony took his Dental Boards today. To celebrate surviving 8 hours of testing all he wanted to do was watch TV. He finds out in 3 weeks if he passed or not but for now he just gets to enjoy the rest of the summer spoiling Parker and Kenzie while me and the baby eat, sleep, and take lots of naps.

Our life

With less than a week before the baby comes I have been exhausted and we haven't been doing anything too exciting. The good news is Parker and McKenzie have been playing together really well lately and keep each other busy, which makes my life a lot easier.
Their favorite thing to do together is play in the pool.
Parker has been a really good kid lately he makes sure to tell me about 100 times a day he can do what ever he is doing because he is "really big." He also says "holy cow" all the time.
Kenzie is very opinionated and is using lots of words lately. My favorite thing she does is folds her arms and bows her head for a prayer, then as soon as someone starts saying the prayer she says "amen" and starts eating.
Anthony spends all his time studying for the boards. He takes them Wednesday. We look forward to having him around more.
My favorite thing to do is sit, this baby in my belly is making me exhausted. I am very ready to hold her despite the sleepless nights that are in store for me.

1 pound of Strawberries

I thought about stopping the kids from eating the whole pound of strawberries, but enjoyed listening to them laugh as Parker took a bite then gave a bite to Kenzie.

A very clever kid

The other day Parker walked into the bathroom pulled down his pants, then he stood just right in front of the toilet so he didn't have to touch anything and his pee didn't make a mess. While peeing he held both hands in the air and told his dad "look dad my hands are not a mess" (implying he didn't touch anything so there was no need to wash his hands) he then pulled up his pants and walked out of the bathroom ready to play. Had he not had to lift the toilet seat he would have won the hand washing argument, but after much convincing he finally went back to the bathroom and washed his hands. This 3 year old is too smart for his own good.

Chilln' with dad

Anthony spends his days at the school studying for his Boards. The kids look forward to every night because when Anthony gets home they love spending time with him. Today he taught McKenzie to drive. (for the record McKenzie isn't experiencing an allergic reaction her favorite way to eat blackberries is to rub them all over her face then eat them)

Eating

McKenzie has recently decided to branch out and try eating new things. Some of her recent favorites are licking water from puddles, eating wood chips, fingernail clippings, licking suckers then throwing them in dirt and licking the dirt off, and today she tried to eat a mushroom she found growing in our yard. This girl is trouble.

End the trip with a big bang

To end our trip in Utah Anthony flew out and we headed to Midway to stay with his parents. His parents had a busy week planned for us. We did something fun everyday and by the end of the week it wasn't just the kids who needed naps. We started out the week at Thanksgiving Point. While there all the grand kids got to ride on a pony.
Parker was in heaven he was grinning from ear to ear the whole ride.
We all got to go on a carriage ride, then after the kids got to pet the horse.

We played in a miniature barn.
Got to tour the Gardens.
The kids got to feed the goats. Kenzie was a crack-up to watch feed the goats she had no fear. She would take the food and actually stick it into the goats mouths instead of letting the goats lick it off her hand. That girl is crazy. We spent Tuesday night at Daniels Summit near Strawberry. We all had tons of fun and ate really well. The next morning the men went fishing while the women stayed with the kids. Later that afternoon we swapped and the men stayed with the kids while the women went shopping. I didn't get one picture, so I am going to have to get them from Anthony's sister.

Thursday we went to an indoor water park.
Friday we just got to relax and enjoy each other.
Saturday we went to a parade, Parker got to see his first movie in a theatre and ended the day with an amazing firework show.I married into an amazing family. We had such a fun week, the food was great, and the company was even better. Thanks for everything we love you.
