Mineral difficent

Kaitlynn is either missing a mineral in her diet, or a disgusting 2 year old because she won't stop licking the cinder blocks every time she walks down the garage stairs.

Kenzie's shots

Kenzie got 3 shots yesterday. When we came home she changed into shorts so everyone could see her bandages.
She is so brave. She did not cry, and likes to watch the shot go in.

Parker

Parker has become quite a good reader. The other day when he was reading a book he realized what he read was funny. Up until now he has always focused so much on sounding out the words that by the end of each page he doesn't always know what he read, so it was an exciting moment when I realized he is comprehending what he reads now.

Bonding

Thanks to the Wii Anthony can hang out with my brothers even though one lives in Cali and one in Australia. I don't know if Call of Duty is the best way to bond, but it sure looks like they enjoy shooting people as a family.

Kaitlynn's favorite words

All day long I hear from Kaitlynn: "Look at me mommy" Every step she takes, every look she makes, every bite she takes of her food she thinks is the most awesome thing ever. So each time she does something she repeats her favorite 4 words until I look and acknowledge how awesome she is.
Even though it drives me crazy how can I not look, this girl is adorable:

Best Sunday Ever

Yesterday Mason feel asleep on our way to church, slept all 3 hours, and didn't wake up until we got home. I love this kid, isn't he handsome in his church outfit:
Occasionally he will smile when I request:

So Predictable

My kids are so predictable, no matter what I say:

Parker is going to keep putting his dirty clothes back in his drawer to wear the next day.

Kenzie is going to keep putting her clean clothes in the laundry hamper.

Kaitlynn is going to say something completely random that will catch me off guard but always make me laugh. My favorite 2 most recent comments were:

"there is chocolate in my underwear mommy" as she came walking out of the bathroom. In case you are wondering it was not chocolate:)

As we sat at church everyone was quietly listening to the speaker, Kailtynn turned to me with a marker in hand and says extremely loudly "Bippity Boppity Boo" then whacks me on the head with the marker.

As for Mason, no matter if he has been sleeping for 5 minutes of 4 hours every night at 11:15 he is going to wake up hungry.

Kaitlynn & Mason

It has been fun to see how Kaitlynn has responded to loosing her title as the "baby of the family." She is the jealous type, always fighting off any kid I hold as she yells "that's my mommy." but when it comes to Mason she isn't jealous in the least. She loves to hold him, get things for him, and put his binky in his mouth when he is crying. Since Mason has arrived Kaitlynn can be found breast feeding her dolls and using his binky when he isn't using it.

Boys & their toys

I think it is so cute to watch these boys play with the trains. With 5 remote control trains and track big enough to go from my window all the way to my kitchen table these boys can play for hours:

Kids these days are so ungrateful

Parker had his second encounter with the tooth fairy. After finding the $1 left by the tooth fairy Parker picked it up, walked into the dining room where Anthony was eating breakfast, threw it on the ground, and stomped away. As Anthony questioned Parker to find out where he got the $1, and why he was mad, Parker's response was: "The tooth fairy gave me the $1. I don't want 1 dollar, she gave me 1 dollar last time. She was supposed to give me 2 dollars because I lost 2 teeth."

Christmas in a nutshell

This Christmas was the most relaxing Christmas I have ever had. It was perfect to have Christmas on Sunday. We woke-up, the kids played with their presents from Santa, then we all got ready and went to church. At church we "talked of Christ, we rejoiced in Christ, we preached of Christ, and we prophesied of Christ...." When we got home we all put our pajamas back on, opened our presents and spent the rest of the day skyping and spending time as a family. Anthony even got to talk to his brother Adam who is on a mission.

Here is a picture of each of the kids Christmas Morning:

Anthony's parents gave the kids the makings for a cool hut. With Anthony's help the kids had tons of fun playing, day...
...and night.
Christmas isn't Christmas unless Gingerbread Houses are decorated:
Parker loved it so much and was so proud of his house, he made me take a picture of all 4 sides. I won't post all 4 pictures, but he sure was cute.
As for me my favorite thing to do is sit around and hold this baby. I love newborns and he might be my last one so I am going to savor every moment.
I would like to give a special thanks to my husband who made this Christmas happen. Due to sleep deprivation and a C-section gone bad I only have enough energy everyday to make sure the kids are fed and well cared for, anything extra is not worth my time. Anthony was the one who made 3 different treats to hand out to our neighbors and friends, did almost all the shopping, designed the gingerbread houses, took the kids to the movies and to see Santa, and anything else I asked him to do. I am a lucky women to have such a wonderful husband who will step up and help out when I need help.

Parker's tooth

Today Parker told Anthony his tooth was bothering him, and asked him to take it out. Anthony went to his tool box grabbed his needle nose pliers and cleaned them off, then with one quick yank the tooth was out. Parker said "ouch dad, that really hurt" Anthony gave him some ibuprofen and Parker walked away a happy man. I am still in shock at Parker's bravery, I think almost every other kid would have run the other way when their dad walked up to them ready to pull out a tooth.

Kenzie

There are 2 words in Kenzie's vocabulary she can never say right. No matter how many times I correct and coach her she always refers to:

elevator as alligator
tomatoes as pomatoes

I laugh every time she asks if we can take the alligator to get upstairs.
