Kristie's Spring Break

This past weekend I got to go on a girls trip. I had a blast. We stayed up late talking, laughed until we cried, and ate until the only way to fit in our skinny jeans was to undo the top button. Just the break I have been needing.

Dresses

Grandma Lisa and Grandpa Gary sent the girls matching dresses. Using tricky words I was able to talk Kenzie into putting on the dress, once it was on she started screaming. It had no pink and she wanted it off. Watching her was like watching Cinderella's stepsisters rip off her dress, the rage and determination was indescribable. I knew I had ten seconds before the dress turned to shreds so I yelled out "I will give you a piece of gum if you wear it." In an instant she turned into a sweet angel and walked out of the room to collect her gum.

Spring in her Step

Kenzie has so much energy it is unreal. She can't just walk, she has to throw a jump or skip in every couple steps. She always jumps off furniture, and jumps like a "kangaroo" when she is doing something. When I put her to bed she has to jump up and down at least 6 times before laying down. On a side note she is still obsessed with shoes.

Bunny

Parker has been trying to catch the bunny that lives in our backyard for 2 1/2 years. He now has an accomplice. I offered him and his cousin Ben $1 if they could catch the bunny, I was surprised to see how much $1 motivates a kid. With the use of a carrot, rope, box and stick this is what they came up with.

A Perfect Day

My sister and her family are in town, and we have been having fun.
The weather is amazing so we spent almost the whole day outside.
We ate dinner at Mississippi Mudds. The kids loved that they got to eat on the roof
and their food came on frisbees.
Then the kids rode there bikes along the river and watched the boats.
Parker's room is like one big bed, and they love it.
