Mount Rushmore

I have heard many times that the faces on Mt Rushmore are too far away to see. You probably can't tell from our pictures but we Moellers think it was totally worth the drive.

Our favorite part was the lighting ceremony. They gave a tribute to the Presidents honored on the Mountain, then to all the former and current members of the military, then they lit up the mountain. It was so patriotic, we live in a great nation.

Chicago

When I think Chicago I think:

We went on a family trip to Chicago. It was not cold or windy it was beautiful and full of things to see. Our favorite part of Chicago was the amazing beaches.

Ducks

Every spring these 2 ducks show up, and the kids love it. The ducks are so entertaining, they always keep the kids busy. The kids love to feed them, and follow them around.

The other day the ducks played Hide & Seek with the kids. One minute the kids were feeding the ducks bread, the next minute the ducks were hiding in the pond. Here is a shot of the ducks in their hiding spot while the kids were looking for them.

After 20 minutes of hard searching Parker finally found them.

Every now and then Kaitlynn likes to hide under Kaitlynn's bed. When I call out her name she comes crawling out with the biggest smile on her face. She makes me smile every day, I think she is so cute.

Thanks to Weston's motivation Parker can now ride a bike with no training wheels.

Sewer Water

This week we learned our house is the lowest house on our street. We found that out when we woke up Sunday morning and saw the sewer overflowing and all the water pooled right in front of our house. The water was so high it came all the way up the driveway to our house. We were kind of excited that we were stuck in our house until Anthony went downstairs and found sewer water overflowing our basement sink. We only had to bucket water for 1 hour from our sink to our sump pump before everything went back to normal. I won't mention the things I saw floating in the water, I will just say I never want to do that again.
