Family Pictures

My friend Megan is going out of town tomorrow but was nice enough to take our family pictures on Friday and already gave me the pictures back. She did an amazing job at an amazing price. They turned out great, I love them. Thanks Megan.

Princess for a day

Today was McKenzie's birthday so we gave her the royal treatment. She got to wear a crown and we all had to do everything she said (lucky for us she still can't talk so that went over with no complaints from anyone of us).
Then we took her to build a bear to make her very own bear. She loved it.
She got spoiled with lots of cute girl things.
We sang to her and had cake, then went to Coldstone for the ice cream. She is a member of the birthday club and was given a free kid creation.
Being a girl myself I can pretty much guarantee she had a perfect day it involved: shopping, presents, and chocolate. What more could a girl want?

An Amazing Friend

McKenzie is turning one this week and I have no party planned, and no invites handed out, all we were going to do was a little family celebration. Lucky for McKenzie her mom is friends with Melanie(one of the most amazing selfless people in Buffalo), and Melanie, being the wonderful person she is, planned a party for McKenzie and her friend Perry who is just a couple days older.

We started out by making gingerbread houses for the kids. Here are Parker and McKenzie enjoying their house:

Then we sang to the girls and everyone got a cupcake. Here is Kenzie getting a little impatient because Perry wanted to wear her birthday suit.
I love this look she is so confused about what is happening.
Still a little confused about what is going on, she decides to go for it. The 2 birthday girls.
Just a little frosting on the lips was all she wanted to do to celebrate turning one. We will see if on her real birthday she decides to get a little more messy.

Santa

Every year the mall by my house offers breakfast with Santa. Last year Parker's reaction to Santa was absolute fear. This is how the breakfast went last year:
Today I was so proud of Parker, although he wouldn't smile, look at the improvement:Kenzie didn't love or hate Santa, I am pretty sure she just came for the free food.
My favorite part of the day was when we were leaving Santa and Parker told me "Santa no give me Nemo, he give me candy cane." (For Christmas Parker wants Santa to give him Finding Nemo).

Our Thanksgiving

While living in Texas my brother and sister-in-law made a fried turkey for Thanksgiving, it tasted spectacular and Anthony has requested a fried turkey every year since. This year I gave in to the peer pressure and let Anthony live his dream.
Anthony was happier about this turkey then Parker will be Christmas morning. Here he is injecting Duffs sauce into the turkey.

Here is the finished product, it tasted great. We ate our Thanksgiving feast with a couple of our good friends. The food was wonderful, and so was the company.
We stuck to our tradition and went shopping on black Friday to get us in the Christmas spirit. The tree is up and the lights are up outside. We are ready for Christmas.

Walking, and Parkers wish

McKenzie has decided walking is much better than crawling, so it is official she can walk at 11 months of age.

Kenzie has discovered her mouth can double as an extra hand when she needs one. Now that she has found out this little secret, she can carry 3 toys at a time instead of just 2.Parker's new favorite thing is Wendy's Junior Frosty's.
On a side note, for Christmas Parker has decided he wants Santa. I already got his presents, so mom or Lisa I pass that gift on to one of you to give. I know that grandmas can do anything, so I think this will be an easy request for one of you to do. Good luck with that :)

Cheap Date

Movie Rental $1.09

Ice Cream at Wendy's $2.

Using a gas pump that didn't work properly and getting 10 gallons of gas for free, priceless.

(Just so you know Anthony went in and told the guy at the gas station the pump was broken. The guy didn't seem to care and told Anthony there was nothing he could do about it.)

It Snowed

Their wasn't enough snow for a snowman so Parker settled for a small snow ball that doubled as a chair.
Poor Kenzie is walking, but not really so she got stuck sitting in the stroller and supervised the snow fun.

10 Steps

McKenzie is 10 months old and can take 10 steps before she falls down. She is getting real close to walking, of course she only takes a couple steps when the camera is rolling but when it is off she does much better.

It is finally here

I had a great birthday this year. My day started with breakfast in bed, Buffalo Wings for lunch and ended with a party at my house with lots of my wonderful friends(It also included cards, and phone calls from my friends and family who live forever away thanks so much to everyone for making me feel so loved). For my birthday Anthony surprised me with a Cricut Expression I hadn't heard of one before but it came in the mail the other day and I got to try it out. It just looks like a printer for a computer, but is actually a cool machine that cuts anything I want into whatever shape I tell it to. Here is my first creation. My machine cut the card, envelope and letters. All I had to do was glue the letters "thanks" on the card. I love it.
Since school started Anthony has spent every Saturday at the school, but is protesting today, and spending time with me and the kids, or maybe the computer and T.V.

Playing in the cupboard

Kenzie is still getting into everything,
she has even recruited a friend to accompany her in her mischief. Double the fun for them makes double the mess for me.
It was warm enough we got to play outside today, Kenzie loved it. Here she is modeling the dirt in our yard. She likes to fill her mouth full of dirt, chew it until it is just the right consistency, then wipe it all over everything.

We turned 54 yesterday.

Me and my twin had a birthday yesterday so we had a Party to celebrate. I think we look good for being 54 years old.(Our ages added together is 54.)
Here is the family photo:
Me and Kenzie are Harley chicks
Parker a knight, Anthony Napoleon Dynamite

Jessee was nice enough to make me and Abby our cakes. It was the best looking cake I have ever had.

not one picture to show for our great day

Saturday Anthony and I dropped the kids off at a friends and meet up with some other friends to run a 5K. The 5K was on Goat Island, which is an island you can stand on to see Niagara Falls. Not only is Niagara Falls one of the 7 forgotten natural wonders of the world, but I also believe it is one of the 7 coldest places in the world. It rained before, during, and after the run and after the race I turned into a human Popsicle. It was still lots of fun, I think I would do it again.

After lunch I took the kids to our favorite grocery store. When we walked into Wegmans their were 2 employees standing at the entrance who handed me 2 free Wegmans reusable bags and told me to take the kids to the stations throughout the store and trick or treat. Just when I think Wegmans can't do anything more to be better, they go and do something like that. Me and my kids love Wegmans.

That night we dropped the kids off and had a date night to an Adult Costume Party(Adult because kids weren't invited not because we all wore shady outfits). It was tons of fun and Anthony even won a prize for funniest costume. The only thing that could have made the day better is pictures.

6

Anthony got to see his first patient on Friday. He said everything went great. He had plenty of time to do everything he needed. I guess when your patient only has 6 teeth it is pretty easy to get everything done in time.

Pumpkin Patch

I took my kids to a Pumpkin Patch today. A trip to the pumpkin patch is never complete with out a picture of a cute kid next to a pumpkin. They provided the pumpkin, I provided the cute kids.

I think Parker's favorite part was running through the hay maze with Weston.
