A little jealous

McKenzie has recently learned to roll. When she first started doing it I would always make a big deal about it and give her a lot of attention. When I give Kenzie the attention I think Parker is thinking in his head, big deal who doesn't know how to roll? Today I tried to get her rolling on video. Whenever I started filming Parker would roll over, showing me how easy it is to roll. Then he would get impatient that it was taking McKenzie so long, so he would just turn her over himself.

Loving the warm weather

Check out my new sweet ride. Because Earth day was last week all I keep hearing is "Go Green." I have to admit the purchase of this trailer was not exactly to go green. We bought it with the hope to save some green. Gas is getting so expensive, I feel guilty when I drive places just to get the kids out of the house. Now I not only get the kids out, but can get some exercise at the same time. Parker loves it, Kenzie could care less as long as has her binky can come she is happy.

Anthony even said he is going to start riding to school.

The weather has been pretty nice lately. Yesterday Parker's friend Ciella invited him and Weston to come swimming.

Sometimes Parker kills me, when we came home from Ciella's Parker refused to wear a shirt. I could do nothing to convince him that putting on a shirt was a good choice. I tackled him and put it on, he was so furious, he took it off(He has only taken his shirt off one time before that). As a mother I have to choose my battles, and I decided this battle wasn't worth fighting.

Best Dentist Ever

Yesterday I went to see Anthony's good friend who is in his 3rd year of dental school. He filled some cavities and did some other work on my teeth. Not only did he provide me with free childcare (he talked his wife into watching my kids), but he let Anthony assist him with the procedures. I was very happy that only Andrew was allowed to drill, while Anthony had his first experience at washing and suctioning. Andrew was a good teacher, and taught Anthony some things he wished he would have known before he started seeing patients. He gave me some good advice many of you fellow dental wives should hear. Don't let your husband do anything but clean your teeth until he is in his second semester of his 3rd year.

Great News

A speech therapist evaluated Parker yesterday and said that he qualifies for the Early Intervention Program. This program sounds amazing, it will provide Parker with at home speech therapy twice a week, and a hearing test. Our insurance for some reason won't even help pay one penny for a hearing test, so I have just been waiting to see if he qualifies for this program. One of the reasons I think this program is so amazing is they will cover every expense the insurance won't cover, so now we can get the hearing test and see if he needs tubes in his ears. I have never participated in a program offered by the state until I moved to New York, and am so grateful that there are programs like this that out there. A post isn't as fun unless there is at least one picture to look at, so here you go:
Kenzie loves to smile and laugh.
Here is Parker doing one of his favorite things: eating.
One more of Kenzie, I just love how cute she looks with her bow.

Lucky You

Anthony and I rented Lucky You last nite. I was knot such a fan, eye feel like it was a waist of my thyme. Have ewe ever been flipping threw the t.v. channels and stumble upon a poker tournament? Poker tournaments are just as boring as watching golf on t.v. Lucky Ewe is like watching a Poker Tournament. If ewe were thinking about renting it don't bother leaving the house, just turn the channel to a poker tournament and watch it for 2 minutes. It will save you thyme, gas and the buck it costs to rent a movie at Red Box.

P.S. Due ewe notice any misspellings inn my post?

McKenzie 4 months

McKenzie is 4 months old and a complete joy to this family. I took her to the doctor today and she is 13lbs, she is just a petite little thing. She is amazing. Yesterday I decided I was tired of her playing me, and that I would no longer rock her to sleep. It took 2 times of tough love and she can now put herself to sleep in about 5 minutes. What an accomplishment.

Last month my friends Rozannah and Candice did a photo shoot for McKenzie. They warned me before the photo shoot they just do it for fun and are not that good . The pictures they took were absolutely amazing. Take a look for yourself:

True Confession

I just need to get this off my chest. I was asked to bring a treat to a party Anthony and I were invited to last weekend. Do to my love of chocolate chip cookies, that is the treat I decided to make. I doubled the batch so I would have extra for my family. The recipe doubled was supposed to make 6 dozen cookies. I only took 2 dozen to the party. It is only 3 days later and all the cookies are gone. I did share the cookies with Anthony, Parker and a couple choice friends, but I am pretty sure I ate at least 2 dozen on my own. Here comes the confession I still have a good sized Tupperware full of cookie dough in the fridge hiding for only me to enjoy. Someone once told me that eating raw eggs(which happens to be in the cookie dough) can kill me. All I have to say is if it does, I am going to die a very happy women.

Date Night

I have talked before about my friend Abby who I am pretty sure we are twins seperated at birth. It turns out we have found yet another thing in common, we were both in dire need of a date with our husbands. We have decided to swap babysitting at least once a month. Friday night was our trial run and it worked out great for Anthony and I. We left the kids with Abby and Jeff and went to a birthday party. It was kind of sad Anthony spent the night playing games with the boys, and I spent the time talking with all the girls, so I am not sure how it brought us closer as a couple. The good news we both had a great night no spit-up on our shirts, or tantrums to deal with. Just a good time with lots of good friends. Thanks Abby and Jeff.

Big boy bed

I was going to wait a week to post this, to make sure it was official, but Parker is doing so well it is official. Parker no longer sleeps in a crib. Tonight was Parker's 4th night going to bed in a real bed and he is doing great. We put him to bed and he stays, I love it. This went over so well I think I just might try potty training again, of course not for a week or to, I need to enjoy this victory a little longer just encase we fail the potty training again.

bff

Last Thursday some of my best friends flew in for a visit. We have been friends since elementary, we survived elementary, junior high and high school together and we all still like each other. It is amazing we are all still such good friends. Our lives have all taken us down different paths, but no matter how long it has been since we have seen each other when we get together we always have a blast. Not everyone from the group could come, but I was so happy Tina, Corinne and Katy could take time from their busy lives to come for a visit.
We went to the botanical gardens, it was very pretty. Doesn't McKenzie look like she is having a blast?
I love this picture no matter how hard Corinne tries to stay serious, she always cracks up. She is supposed to be crying in defeat from loosing the arm wrestle.
Corinne Tina and Katy just chillin.
Parker's favorite part of the garden were the fountains. There were tons of them and he tried to touch the water in all of them.
They had a petting zoo at the garden while we were there. Parker was terrified of the animals. They had the cutest baby goat that was only a couple days/weeks old that walked up to Parker. Parker started screaming and crying, I felt so bad for the kid.On the way home we stopped at Duffs for some Wings. When you live in Buffalo they are called wings because they are from here. Every where else you have to call them Buffalo Wings.

Thanks to my wonderful husband who stayed home with the kids I got to be worry free and just enjoy my friends while we went to Niagara Falls.
We enjoyed a wonderful dinner at the Sheraton that overlooked the falls and were hoping to be able to see the lights on the falls from the dining room. We had all finished our dinner but kept pretending to eat so we didn't have to leave. Finally we gave up, payed and left. We walked around the tourist stuff, still no lights. I kept trying to think of things to do(despite the many comments that were said about not caring about seeing the falls with the lights on) I refused to take them home until they saw the lights. We finally made a deal: they would wait until 8:31 if I would dance and entertain them until then. As if I had done the magic light dance at exactly 8:31 the lights turned on. You guys know you are glad I made you stay.
Sunday we took a relaxing day. We played cards, watched conference then after dinner I just sat back and enjoyed. Katy took care of Parker.
Say was nice enough to vacuum the house.
Ste took care of Kenzie.
Anthony cleaned the dishes. I didn't have anything to do, so I decided to take some pictures. They were the best guests, it was almost like the grandparents were here because the kids were entertained and house cleaned. You guys are welcome back anytime.

This is at the City Hall Observation Tower. Buffalo is an old city and many things are run down, this tower being one of them. We were the only ones in the tower. My favorite comment from Katy "Kristie, it looks like you are the only one in Buffalo who knows about this tower."
Here we are hanging out by one of the statues down town. That is me on the left. Monday morning Corinne was nice enough to give me a new hairstyle. She cut off 6 inches, thanks Say you are wonderful. The past 2 mornings when I got Parker from his crib he looks at me and says "mom, hair" It is to funny, I think he keeps wondering where my hair went.

Parker's first, and hopefully his last, shop lifting experience

Parkers favorite grocery store to shop in is Wegmans. When we shop at Wegmans he feels like he is a VIP. They always give Parker a balloon, sample of cheese at the deli, cookie samples at the bakery. Not only this, but he gets to ride in a cart with a car in front. He hops right into the car and drives it around, thinking he is the one deciding which aisles we go down. Today I learned another luxury he gets while sitting in his car. When we are checking out, he has full access to the candy at the registers.

I didn't notice Parker doing anything he shouldn't while we were checking out. He was just sitting quietly in his car and I was about 50 feet behind him pushing the cart.(The cart isn't exactly 50 feet long but is sure feels like it. I personally think they need to install beepers that beep as you push it so people know "Wide Load Coming Through" and they can move accordingly).

I payed for the groceries and go to the car. After I have unloaded all the groceries I go to take Parker out of car and notice a piece of gum. Wondering how he got a hold of my gum I put it in my pocket and try once again to help him out. I then noticed 2 more pieces of gum and am really confused where it came from. I look at Parker and notice his hands are full of about 17 sticks of gum. He had decided to take them and unwrap them to keep himself busy.

I took him back into the store and payed for the gum, and tried to explain why what he did was wrong, and that he shouldn't ever do that again. I wonder how much of it sank in. This kid is such an adventure, he always keeps me on my toes.

My Hubby Tag

My friend Crescent tagged me a while ago so here I go:

How long have you been together?
almost 6 years

How long did you date?
We started hanging out in January and were married in August, I don't know how long we were actually dating.

How old is he?
28

Who eats more?
It depends am I pregnant, or exercising? When I am pregnant or exercising regularly I out eat him hands down.

Who said "I love you" first? Anthony, I am very old-fashioned when it comes to that.

Who is taller? Anthony

Who is smarter? Anthony how could he not be, he has been going to school since we meet. I also am smart, but since Anthony has started dental school he often impresses me with some of the things he says.

Who does the laundry? me, but if he is watching t.v. and I empty a load of clean laundry by him he will fold it.

Who does the dishes? Anthony does the dinner dishes, I do the rest. Not having a dishwasher is tough, so I am so grateful he does his share.

Who sleeps on the right side of the bed? Almost 6 years of marriage and we are still undecided on sides. Whoever has to wake up first sleeps next to the alarm.

Who pays the bills? Me

Who mows the lawn? Anthony, he keeps the outside looking good. I keep the inside looking good.

Who cooks dinner? I do every night but Sunday. His parents have a tradition that dad cooks on Sunday and I have happily agreed to keep that tradition alive.

Who is more stubborn? Me 100% Who is patient with his stubborn wife? Anthony 100% he is a good man.

Who kissed who first? He kissed me first.

Who asked who out? He asked me out. I already had plans that night with a bunch of my girlfriends to go to one of the Olympic parties(this was in 2002 when Salt Lake was hosting the Olympics) so I invited him along. We had so much fun he instantly fell in love with me and the rest is history.

Who proposed? He did, and he did a great job with some coaching from his mom.

Who is more sensitive? Me. Being a mom has turned me into a wimp, and crazy hormone changes from having babies doesn't help the situation. If a commercial is good enough it can evoke a tear from these eyes.

Who has more friends? Me, only because I make the effort to keep in touch with friends from the past.

Who has more siblings? He does! 6 kids in his family.

Who wears the pants in the relationship? I don't know. We almost always do what I say, but if Anthony has an opinion on something we do it his way.
