6 Random Things

My friend Jen tagged me a while ago, and apparently in blogging world that means I am supposed to tell you 6 random things about myself. So here it goes:

1. One day I am going to be a biker chick. I have the whole outfit ready from bandanna to boots (including the leather chaps) I am just missing a Harley. Maybe one birthday or Christmas, after we are through with dental school, my wonderful husband will surprise me with my bike. Until then this is all I have:

2. I know how to speak Italian.
3. When I graduated high school I was voted the most athletic person in my class.
4. In 2002 when the Olympics were held in Salt Lake City I got payed to go to the opening and closing ceremonies.
5. I love to sing. When Anthony asks me questions I sing him my answer. I have a horrible voice, so it drives him crazy. I really think there is a song about anything I want to say, and if there isn't I make one up.
6. I have actually had someone pee my pants. Just for the record I did not like it and hope it never happens again. It is just one of the joys of working as a nurse in the urology clinic. I just thought I would throw that in there because it is random and probably never happened to anyone else you know.

I tag Melanie, April, Susie, and Abby (come on Abby Jeff can't post all things on your blog).

Question ?

The question I would like to ask you is can baby girls have spiky hair, or is that look just for boys? McKenzie got mistaken for a boy the other day and it was 100% my fault. She was not wearing pink, and didn't have a bow in her hair. After that incident I have been determined to make her look like a girl, so from this point on the only people who mistake her for a boy must obviously be blind. McKenzie has he most beautiful brown hair and blue eyes. To show off the fact she has hair, I comb some forward so she has bangs, put a bow in, and spike the back. I think it is absolutely adorable, but Antonio' says only boys have spiked hair. So I ask this question is McKenzie going to look back at this picture and think mom what were you doing, or do you think she can pull off the spiked look?
Here is one more picture of the hair-do. Just for the records I don't think the pictures do her justice, but she does look cute.

Niagra Falls

Last night was Anthony's moms last night here in Buffalo, so we took her to see Niagra Falls. I don't know if I have ever been as cold as I was while we were by the falls. It is so cold the bushes are covered in ice where the mist from the falls blows. To de-thaw our bodies hopped in the car and went to Canada to see the view from inside. This is us eating dinner.
We ate at the Sheraton hotel in Canada. They have a restaurant on the 13th floor that overlooks the falls. If you go to see the falls in the winter I suggest doing it this way; it is a lot warmer, and the view is unreal.
Anthony took this picture.

Build A Bear

Today we went to build a bear, on the hopes to get rid of Parkers teddy bear. He has a teddy bear that he has to sleep with, but needs replacing. I have tried before to replace it but it didn't work, so here it goes to attempt #2. Here is Parker and Grandma pushing the button to stuff the bear. I am not sure why Parker wouldn't smile the whole time he was in the store. We can't decide if it is because he knew old Teddy was gone, or if it was because he didn't get a nap.
Grandma Lisa bought him all the accessories he wanted. Parker's teddy left the store in style. He has a cute car to drive, and Parker pushed Teddy out of the store in a stroller. Parker went to bed tonight with his new Teddy; good-bye old teddy!! Parker wants to thank his cousins and Aunts and Uncles on Anthony's side for the gift certificate.

McKenzies Blessing

Parker still has a horrible fever and is very sick so I don't have anything exciting to blog about this week. So I thought I would post some pictures of McKenzie's blessing. My whole family was in D.C. for Christmas so we got special permission to bless McKenzie at my sister's house. Everyone in my family lives in a different state, so it was a miracle to have everyone there. Thanks again Melinda and Lisa for the beautiful dress.
Here is a picture of my dad, little brother Jason, Anthony, big brother Shon and brother-in-law Brian (aka Brain).
This is Parker proudly holding his little sister, he is very cute with her.

Christmas in Washington D.C.

About a week after McKenzie was born we took off to D.C. to spend Christmas with all my family. This is a picture of us Christmas morning. The trip was great. Unfortunately Parker got every sickness possible from his cousins. He is currently being treated for pink eye, an ear infection, cold, vomiting, diarrhea, and a fever. Poor Kenzie also got a cold, I guess we won't be going anywhere for a while while we all recuperate.
This is a picture of us in the U.S. Capitol building. While we were in D.C. we got to tour the Capitol, the White House, Nations Cathedral, and the Washington Monument. My favorite thing was the White House, it was so beautiful. My only complaint is Bush didn't come say hi to me while I was there.

This is a picture of my little brother J holding Parker at the Washington Monument. I think is is so patriotic with the flags waving in the background.
