Parker's busy weekend.

Parker's friend Ella has the most amazing mom ever. Ella turned 2 last week, and her mom (Erica) threw her a Carnival birthday party yesterday. At the Carnival there was food and drinks for everyone, popcorn, cotton candy, games, balloons, one of those cool things you feel up with air and jump in, and all the kids left with a party favor. What a wonderful mom to go all out for her cute daughter. Parker and all the kids were in heaven, and all the adults quite enjoyed themselves.

While there Parker learned how to juggle.

Here are Parker and his friends jumping

After the party we stopped by our friends house to see their cute new baby. We had such a relaxed fun filled day Anthony thought to top it off he would teach Parker to drive.

The duck

Parker's favorite animal is a duck. Our neighbor feeds all the wild animals, and everyday their are 2 ducks that will make an appearance. It makes Parkers day every time he sees them, and after last night I have decided I think the ducks enjoy Parker. Last night the ducks came while we were eating dinner and I guess they were sad Parker wasn't around so they came by our window to check on him. How cool is it when you can open your dinning room window and feed the ducks from it?

It always makes my day when Parker and Kenzie laugh and play together.

Kenzie update, she is 5 months and happy as ever. Her favorite past times are laughing and rolling all around the house. She now likes eating and will sleep for 8 hours at night.

So confused

Before you read my post I would just like to say Anthony is practically perfect in every way and he is the most wonderful husband ever.

This happens on a fairly regular basis and I am so confused, who would you discipline when this happens?

We (Kristie, Anthony, Parker) are sitting at the dinner table eating dinner. Kristie stands and leaves the table, puts her dishes in the sink (Kristie is gone for no more than 1 minute). Kristie walks back to the dinning room and finds Parker (who was sitting quietly eating his dinner when I left) has now turned his chair upside down and is doing everything but eating his food. Who is Kristie to discipline?

Kristie chooses: Anthony
Why: he is sitting right next to Parker, I know he sees what Parker is doing. I think Anthony is the one who came up with our rule that when Parker leaves the dinner table and starts playing he is done and needs to clear his plate.

Every time this happens I get after Anthony, and every time Anthony acts so innocent wondering why he is getting in trouble because he is the one sitting quietly eating his dinner. (Do you ever remember that happening when you were growing up? Your brother/sister does something bad and you get in trouble for being there?) Anyways who would you get after?

Look who is eating

Kenzie has decided she now will eat food. I tried feeding her a couple weeks ago and she would have nothing to do with it. A nutritionist suggested to put apple juice in the rice cereal to make it sweet. It worked like a charm and this girl now loves to eat.

I never get more than 2 bites in before my little side kick has grabbed his own spoon and is trying to help feed Kenzie.

Parker's one weakness is he thinks the spoon has to go all the way down McKenzie's throat.

Unless he is sleeping, silence means trouble.

When it is quiet and I call Parker's name and get no response, I always know to prepare for a big mess. Last night it was quiet, I called Parker's name and the silence continued so I prepared myself. Anthony found him in Kenzie's crib painting himself and the crib with the A&D ointment.

To cute

Today I got brave and rode my bike, with the bike trailer and kids, to the zoo. I was pleasantly surprised the 4 mile trip only took 30 minutes. We had a fun day at the zoo with our friends, on the way home both kids fell asleep about 1 minute after I started pedaling. The sidewalk was so bumpy, they were bouncing all over the place. I don't know how they could sleep with all the bumps, but they slept the whole way home. They are just so cute when they sleep, I had to take a picture.

Why you are amazing

It is mother's day so Anthony and I wanted to say mom we love you thanks for everything you do, we think you are wonderful. You are amazing for many reasons, but we each picked one thing that really sticks out in our mind why you are amazing.

I think my mom is amazing because she never once, no not even once yelled at me. I have to admit I was quit a handful and deserved to be yelled at many times, however in the 28 years of my life she has never yelled at me.

As for Anthony, mom you're amazing because you somehow managed to turn a child arsonist into a husband and father of two that can cook, clean and do the laundry.

Not only are our moms amazing they are beautiful.

And, since it is mother's day why not give a shout out to me. A women who has only just begun the journey of sleepless nights, endless chores, and giving up my wants for my children's wants. It is tough and some days I wonder why I ever wanted to do this, but the second I hear my child laugh every frustration melts away and is replaced with an indescribable love for this children. It is then I realize I wouldn't change it for the world.
