10 Years

We just celebrated our 10 Year Anniversary.  This last year by far has been the easiest year of our marriage.  It doesn't make sense that we disagreed more with each other when we only had 1 kid, or that I think Anthony is more handsome as the gray speckles his hair.  I wonder if life will ever make sense?  For now I just hope we can keep enjoying this great thing we have going for us.  

(I hope Buzz Lightyear won't mind if I change his famous quote a little)

School

Parker started 1st grade

McKenzie started Pre-K

They both seem to like their teachers and classes.  The kids have only been in school 2 days and I am already going through withdrawal.  I miss Kenzie the most she a great peacemaker & listener. 
Without Kenzie to help Kate make good choices Kaitlynn has already colored all over her and Mason, "washed" her door by spreading hand sanitizer all over it and broken the bulb on Kenzie's night light and spread broken glass all over the floor.  Kate is trouble, did I mention the kids have only been in school 2 days?

Dolphin Cruise

Florida has the greatest Groupons.  My last purchase was for a 2 hour dolphin cruise.  The helpers on the ship passed out cheese puffs for the kids to hold out & feed the seagulls.  The seagulls would fly over to my kids and eat it right from their hands.  I think seagulls are disgusting, but even they looked beautiful almost majestic as they flew alongside the boat.

The driver was able to find a dolphin pod of about 40-50 dolphins.  We were surrounded by dolphins big & little.  Some stayed far away, but some would come up only a couple feet from the boat.  Watching them swim all around us was heaven to me, I have a lifetime goal to swim with the dolphins.  I am hoping to accomplish that goal  during our stay in Florida.

The kids thought upstairs would be the perfect spot, but after a while decided they liked being on the bottom deck right next to the water.

Good-bye

Last week was a tough one, I had to say good-bye to 2 of my best friends.  Heather and Tracy you are amazing, I don't know how me and the kids will survive without you and your families.

She is a beautiful stubborn girl who brings much joy into our lives.

I love her blue eyes, curly hair, gap between her 2 front teeth & the dimple in her left cheek when she smiles.

She loves to sing.  I hear her singing songs all the time from the radio or TV that she has only heard once or twice.  She has no favorites, she sings anything from primary songs to Justin Beiber.

Says she is going to marry Santa Clause or Justin Beiber

She loves to laugh and be silly.  When she is mad I can almost always bring a smile to her face by asking her if she has a stinky diaper(she is potty trained so that is why it is so funny to her).

She has the most disgusting habit of chewing/sucking on her blanket to be able to fall asleep.

When she is mad she will yell "I mean at you mommy"

My favorite time to listen to her talk is when she starts her sentence with "One time"

it is usually followed with a confession like:

"One time I hit Kenzie on the head like this."

"One time I colored on the wall."

It is always fun to hear what she has been up to

She is nail biter.
