Hair

Every morning Kaitlynn refuses to let me do her hair. She insists that she does a better job than me. Look at Kenzie's do then Kaitlynn, you be the judge who does a better job. If you choose Kaitlynn here is her secret to get this look. Put a spray bottle right against your head, spray it at least 6-10 times, then grab a comb place it above your left ear and comb all the hair over to the right.

Easter

We had a fun
Easter weekend full of coloring eggs, egg hunts, and learning about Jesus' resurrection:

When we talked to the kids about the real reason we celebrate Easter Kenzie had some questions. She asked about our friend Sister Lord who recently died. I told Kenzie where her body went and where her spirit body went after she died. Kenzie then asked where did her head go?

Soccer

Parker & Kenzie are on the same soccer team. They had their first soccer game on Saturday:
Parker was like a wall, not letting many balls get past him:
Kenzie loved to run what ever way all the other kids on the team were running, but never actually touched the ball:
I think she preferred chatting with the girls on the bench:
Here is their #1 Fan:

Family Vacations

I have always dreamed of being a mom. I am now living that dream and realize I had no idea what "being a mom of 4" actually entailed. As the mom I am the one who is to blame for every frustration, every anger, and I am accountable to find every lost object. To top it off I am supposed to always magically be able to pull a drink, snack, wet wipe, sunscreen, etc out of my purse when every one of these kids so desires it. This vacation was exhausting, but super fun at the same time. Here are the pictures to show how the trip to San Antonio actually was with 4 young kids. Occasionally boring:
Kenzie only had a smile on her face when she was in the stroller:
Kaitlynn was only happy when she was doing things she shouldn't, like laying in this trough:
Or standing in the newspaper stand:
When we had to wait for something the kids were kept happy by posing silly for the camera:
Of course that only works for so long, eventually I had to just hand over the camera to keep the kids from complaining:This is Anthony's reaction to my decision, obviously not to pleased:Last but not least this is how family pictures really are. Thank goodness there is no sound with the pictures so you don't have to hear 3 of the 4 kids crying:Ahh family vacations, you got to love them.

Museum

San Antonio had a fun museum that had a section dedicated to the kids. Parker had fun riding this super cool tight rope bike:
The museum had lots of fun stuff for the kids to do:

The Alamo

A trip to San Antonio isn't complete without a stop at the Alamo:
Is it sad that this is how the kids look when we tell them to smile with their serious faces:
After the Alamo we headed to the Riverwalk and ate some delicious Tex-Mex right along the river:
The weather was perfect. What a fun day we had:

Burrito Baby

I love this little burrito baby. I will never understand how it can be even a little bit comfortable to sleep with his hands practically tied to his sides, but this is how Mason loves to sleep. Don't you just want to pick him up, snuggle him and kiss those chubby cheeks?
