Aaron 18 Months

Weight: 26 lbs

Height: 33 inches

Head Circumference: 18 inches

Aaron is all boy.  He is everything I would imagine a caveman to be.  If you make Aaron mad, he is going to hit you.  If he lifts something over his head, he is going to throw it.  He grunts and gestures his hands to communicate.  One day he got his shirt wet and wanted it off.  He walked up to me and grunted until he had my attention.  He then pointed to his shirt and grunted, then grunted and tried to pull his shirt off.  I took his shirt off, he smiled and walked off to play.  He is so funny and frustrating at the same time.

He does some sign language: all done, more, drink, bye-bye

He says: mom consistently.  Every now and then he will say, thank you, Parker, Dad, oh no, dog, cat, Amanda, where did it go.  

He understands everything.  If I tell him to sit he sits.  If I tell him to give something to Parker, he does it.  He understands well, I hope he will start using words soon.

He has 16 teeth

Parker and Aaron have a sweet bond.  Aaron loves to sit and watch Parker build with his legos until he falls asleep.

McKenzie loves getting him dressed and helping him do anything he needs.  She is his 2nd mother.

Kaitlynn loves helping Aaron, he doesn't trust her all the way yet.

Mason loves to play with Aaron all day, and is so patient.  If Aaron hits him, he won't hit him back he comes and gets help.

Favorite food: cooked carrots, biscuit, chicken nuggets, mac-and-cheese, suckers, popcorn, chex-mix

He gives great hugs and kisses

He loves his blanket and binky.  He needs them every time he gets in his car seat, and when he goes to bed.

Bleach Miracle

One Friday night I left 3 childproof bleach bottles on my computer desk.  The next morning Aaron and the kids all got up and watched cartoons, Anthony and I stayed in bed.  Aaron took one of the bottles off the desk, and spilled it all over the floor.  He played in the bleach, then sat on the couch near McKenzie.  McKenzie noticed he was wet, so she changed him.  Aaron was unusually quiet so I got out of bed.  When I walked in the room I was overwhelmed with the smell of bleach.  I took Aaron and put him in the bathtub for 20 minutes to make sure he didn't get burned from the bleach.  Here is where I realized I have a guardian angel living in my house.  Aaron got no bleach in his mouth, his skin wasn't burned, his pajamas that were soaked in bleach (didn't have one bleach spot stain), the couch didn't even have one bleach spot either.  If you look at the left shoulder of this shirt, you can see one tiny bleach spot where it is supposed to be black.  This shirt that says "Troublemaker is my middle name."  Is the only thing that ruined.  Isn't it so fitting?!?  However, I would say it isn't ruined, it is my reminder that God loves this kid, and kept him safe that Saturday morning.

McKenzie Anne is 8

McKenzie is 8.  She is a joy to have in the family.  Here is a list of her favorite things:

Parker is trouble

This is a conversation I had with my 9 year old son:

Me:  What if I told you I was pregnant?  Would you be excited to have another baby in the house?
P:  I would only be excited if it was a boy.
Me:  So what if I was having a girl?
P:  I would hate it.

5 minutes pass..........

P:  Well, I guess I wouldn't care if it was a girl.  At least their would be one more person I can tease!

Mason makes me laugh

A conversation with my 4 year old:

Mason:  Holds up a stuffed animal and asks "What is this?"
Kristie: A monkey
Mason: No, it is NOT a monkey.  Monkeys have tails.  This does not have a tail, so it is an ape.

Seminary

A conversation I overheard:

 
Anthony walked in the house at 6:30 this morning.

Kenzie:  "Where were you?"
Anthony:  "I was at the High School teaching Seminary."
Kenzie:  With a very confused face:  "I thought seminary is where you bury dead people?!"

Aaron knows how to get what he wants.

Kate wouldn't share her treat with anyone, until Aaron walked up to her and gave his adorable grin.  This kid has us all wrapped around his finger.

Thanksgiving in Houston

My sister Angie moved to Houston this year.  We drove to their house to celebrate Thanksgiving together.  The kids all had a blast:

15 Months

Aaron is 15 months old here are his stats:

Weight: 22lbs

Height: 30 inches

Head Circumference: 19 inches

All time favorite thing to put in his mouth is sand/dirt.  He eats it by the handful, as much as will fit in his mouth.

Loves playing outside.

Favorite food: cooked carrots, popsicles, pasta with a white sauce, grapes, clementines, mac and cheese

Loves dogs, shakes his head no

Signs: all done, bye-bye, please

Has learned he can push chairs around.  Now nothing is off limits.  This boy can get to everything.

Loves chewing phone chargers.  Aaron has ruined 2 new iphone chargers.

Mason is 4

Mason turned 4 today.  He is a sweet, active, boy.  Here are his stats:

Weight:  36lbs

Height:  40 inches

Mason has to know how everything works, and what it is made of.  He is always asking questions and corrects me if he believes I am wrong.

My favorite thing about him is he has a little lisp.  He uses the "th" sound instead of the "s"

He loves letters and spelling.  He can spell: Mason, Mom, Dad, Stop, and other random things. 

Mason's Birthday Party

At the age of 4 Mason had his first real birthday party.  We did a combined birthday party with his best friend Gideon.  Mason started out the day opening presents.  At noon all his friends showed up to party.

 My friend Cindy made the best Pirate Ship Cake I have ever seen:

 It was a great day full of friends, food, games and of course a pinata' 

Aaron is 1 year old

This kid just keeps growing.

Height: 30 inches
 He is almost walking.  He takes 4-5 steps, and walks along the furniture.  He prefers to crawl instead of walk most of the time.
He has 8 teeth (4 on top, 4 on bottom)
Loves playing in the toilet, and throwing things in it.

Loves his siblings.  You spend your day crawling around following them.
Kenzie and Kaitlynn always love to play baby and use you as their baby, he loves it.
No bottles
Hand feed yourself everything
You have the most high pitched, ear piercing scream.  If anyone does something you don't like (take away the toilet bowl cleaner from you) you scream.  You are very stubborn.
You are now scared of strangers, and love being with your Mom.

Aaron 11 Months

Aaron is 11 months old

If I had to sum this adorable kid up using one word, it would be inquisitive.

He has to see, touch, eat, smell everything he sees. 

Unless he is sleeping, he is on the move.  He is very busy and rarely sits in one spot for long. 

He has 4 teeth (2 on top, 2 on bottom)

Kate is 6

This adorable girl is 6.  She got to celebrate her birthday in Utah with lots of family.  

Weight:  45 lbs

Height: 44 inches

You are a joy to be around.  You are always looking for ways to make things fun.  You love to laugh and play.  You do not love doing chores.  Once you make up your mind you won't change.  A lot of times when I try to threaten you with an extra chore, you say I want to do an extra chore, and walk off and go play.  Your way of thinking blows my mind, but I am so glad you think about things, and decide what you want.  I love you to pieces.  I love your smile, laugh and silly ways.  I also love that you can fall asleep anywhere.  When you are tired, you just go to sleep.

April has been a busy month for this girl.  She lost her first tooth.
