From the mouth of my 4 year old

Kate told me the other day.  "Mom it looks like you are fat because you have a baby in your belly.  It's mean to tell people when they are fat, so I'm not going to say you are fat."

I am not a liar

The other day I warned Kenzie not to touch the iron because it was hot.  A couple minutes later she walked into my room claiming her finger got burned.

Me "How did it get burned?"
Kenzie:  "I touched the iron."
Me:  "Did you touch it before or after I warned you?"
Kenzie:  "After."

I can't stop laughing about it, I guess she needed to learn the painful way when I say the iron is hot, it's hot.  Hopefully she also learned this mama doesn't lie.

What I learned, Kenzie is a questioner.  Never tell Kenzie "Don't jump off that cliff."  I would hate for her to have to learn that lesson the painful way as well.

21 Weeks Pregnant

When I was 12 weeks pregnant we took the kids to Waffle House (this is the restaurant they chose when we asked them where they wanted to eat) and had them do a puzzle to figure out we have another baby on the way:
Kenzie was the most excited, but not to surprised.  She had already asked me multiple times how come  it looks like I have a baby in my belly.

We told the kids on a Monday.  Tuesday evening I asked the kids if they had told anyone I am pregnant.  Kate looks at me with shock in her face, "Mom, you have a baby in your belly?"  This girl is priceless.

Parker's Baptism

Saturday was Parker's baptism.  It was a great day:
No family was able to come.  Thank goodness for our wonderful Florida Grandparents who have adopted us and were willing to speak and help out with his special day:
Our whole family:

Lamb of God

Sunday I got to preform with a whole bunch of talented musicians in Rob Gardner's "Lamb of God."
These people were amazing.

Spring Break

Anthony's uncle and his family came for a visit over Spring Break:
The week went by too fast.  The weather didn't cooperate very well, but we did get one trip to the beach:
After I took this picture Mason said "All done, fly kite mom."  Then let the kite fly away:
The kids played in the water for a bit, but spent most the time getting warm:
Uncle Barlow was the kite master.  He helped get all the kites flying and let all the kids get a turn:
While the others froze Parker kept flying his kite:
Mason and Kate could have cared less that it wasn't the best weather:
 So cute:
The kids loved watching cartoons every morning:
