Kenzie was so proud that she built "the tallest tower ever" she told me "Mom go get the camera and take a picture so I can show everyone."

Grandma Came to Visit

Anthony's mom came to visit for a month.  It has been so fun having her around.  All day long I have another adult to talk to.  Every now and then we get out of the house and do something fun.  Here we are picking strawberries:

A Conversation I Overheard

Anthony:  "Parker will you help me bring in the groceries from the car?"

Parker:  "No, maybe if it was Father's Day I would."

Mother's Day

Today my favorite comment in my Mother's Day card was from Parker.  He wrote:

Your eyes sparkle in the light of day. 

He is going to be quite the love note writer when he gets older.

McKenzie's too smart

I read a parenting book and learned a techniqe to better parent.  Instead of telling my kids "Go do your homework."  I give them 2 options, example:  "Do you want to do your homework before dinner or after?" or  "You can either stop crying, or go to your room and cry."  This technique has worked pretty well for me.   The other day I was busy painting and McKenzie walked up to me telling me she needed a toy that was downstairs in a bin.  She then asked:  "Do you want to get it for me now, or after you pick up Parker from school" 

Using my own tricks against me, this girl is good.

Mason is on only 17 months and is constantly biting his nails.  To weird.
