I married a rock star

I am amazed every day at all the knowledge this man has in that head of his.  He is able to fix all the things in our new house, electrical, plumbing, you name it.  I just tell him what I want and where I want it and he gets it done.  He is seriously amazing.

Kick me

Today Parker put a note on my back that said "cick me."  (He is still learning how to spell cick is pretty close to kick).  I giggle every time I think of it, he is growing so fast.  What happened to that little boy with kankles that couldn't talk?  He is a good kid always looking for a good time.

Seasons

Parker is having a hard time connecting which month goes with which season.  I think it is because it is February and we are finally experiencing fall.

Mason

This boy is a risk taker.  The first place he goes when I let him outside is straight to the street.  Once he gets there he doesn't walk to the left or right, but straight down the middle.   Thank goodness we live in a cul-de-sac.

A new house and a cool story

After 10 years of marriage Anthony and I finally had the chance to buy a house.  We couldn't be happier, let the painting begin:

Last May Anthony and I started looking for a house.  After looking and looking going back and forth with offers we found a house and started the buying process.  The only thing was, after we finally negotiated the deal I got sick everytime I thought about buying the house.  It got so bad that I eventually couldn't sleep or eat I just couldn't stop thinking how I can't buy this house.  I got up the courage to have that conversation I never wanted to have with Anthony.  He, being the great husband he is, supported me and agreed to try and terminate our contract, but I had to do all the work.  People were mad, but I could have cared less I couldn't buy the house.  We lost our deposit, but I finally was happy again. I then had to negotiate with my landlord to keep letting us rent.  He increased our rent, but agreed to sign a 2 year contract.

Fast Forward 2 Months:

One Friday morning a real estate agent knocked on my door and told me the house I was renting was in foreclosure.  Turns out the rent we had been paying wasn't helping pay the mortgage.  Our landlord hadn't been paying his mortgage for 2-4 years.

 Fast Forward 3 Months:

Anthony and I buy the house we were renting at a good price.  We move in with never having to pack one box.  We couldn't be happier.

I don't believe God made our landlord go broke so we could buy this house.  I do however believe God was telling me if I hold out I can get what I want.  I am so blessed to have him in my life.
