Kaitlynn's Surprise

Kaitlynn walked up to me and yelled "Surprise" as she threw her hands in the air.  I turned to see her wearing swim goggles & my high heels.  She makes me laugh everyday.

Fair

We took the kids to the fair.  Kenzie threw darts and won herself a Justin Beiber Picture:
 Kaitlynn loved the elephant ride.
Parker has wanted a pet for years and finally got his wish.  Here are "Mason" and "Buddy" his new pet goldfish.
Mason didn't want us to spend money on him.  All he wanted was for us to stop restraining him in the stroller and grant him freedom.  With that freedom he walked all over with his cute little penguin walk smiling from ear to ear.  This picture wasn't taken at the fair; however, I had to take it.  I can't believe he is small enough to squeeze into my lazy susan.

Mason

Good thing this kid is cute, or his game called "Throw everything down the stairs" would get old, fast.

Rain

There is something magical about playing in the rain.  My kids share happily.
It makes them dance.
It makes them smile.

Turtle & Workn' with dad

Anthony found a turtle in our backyard.  Parker claimed it as his and was in heaven for the 2 short hours he had a pet.
Parker had a fun time helping Anthony make the tree house.

Mason 10 Months

Mason is 10 months old, and is almost always a joy to be around.
He really is sweet most the time.  At 10 months old Mason:
  • has 3 teeth
  • takes up to 3 steps at a time
  • LOVES being outside.
  • Makes a sound like a Spaniard rolling his r's.
  • Is always twisting and running his tongue along his teeth.
  • Has changed from cute and curious to destructive & determined.
  • He throws my spices out of the cupboard like a pitcher pitching for a Major League Baseball team, and has mastered how to shatter them with one small flick of the wrist.
  • Is a great eater.  Not picky, good at hand feeding himself, and can hold his bottle with no help.
  • Our peacemaker.  Whenever there is fighting and tension in the house, everyone is a sucker for Mason.  When he smiles or laughs everyone caves and stops fighting.
  • He always rests his head on things.  He will randomly crawl up to someone and rest his head on their leg, or rest his head on the furniture even when he isn't tired.  So cute, but weird.

Parker's opinion about 1st Grade

Pros:
Recess
Art

Cons:
Each week he has to do an 8 page(front and back) packet of homework, read 60 minutes & practice spelling words.  (A little extreme if you ask me).  I kind of feel like he is home schooled, but he is gone for 6 hours each day.

He asked me to stop sending him Capri Suns.  He is missing his 2 front teeth and without them he
can't suck the juice up the tiny straw.
