Big Belly

Tonight I walked in to check on Parker while he was getting dressed in his pajamas. As I walked in the room he looked up at me and smiled as he patted his belly (he was pushing his belly out) then he told me "look mom, my belly is getting big like yours." Needless to say I am definately showing at 23 weeks pregnant.

Spring Break on a Budget

This last week Anthony had off school. We got this amazing pass for Christmas that gets us into lots of places for free, so we put the pass to the test and decided it was well worth the money we spent because it has already paid for itself and it is only March.

Here is how we spent the week: Saturday we went to Palmyra. Monday we went to the zoo. Tuesday we went to Chucke E. Cheese. Wednesday we went to an indoor water park. Thursday we went to the air force base, outlet malls and park. Friday we went to a Children's Museum. Saturday we went to see Maple Syrup made. We had a great week. Everyday the kids were exhausted when we were done with our activity. Within 10 minutes of getting in the car this is how they looked.

Maple Weekend

Yesterday we got to go see how Maple Syrup is made. There is a farm 30 minutes away from us where a man owns about 40 acres of maple trees. He showed us the whole process of how maple was made; from the maple dripping from the trees to how it is collected, boiled down and made into syrup and many other things. We also got to taste maple everything: syrup, butter, mustard, suckers, cotton candy, peanuts, cheesecake, you name it they had it. They also had farm animals to see and face painting. It was lots of fun. This is how they get the maple from the trees, stick a spout in the tree, hang a bucket from the spout and let it drain.
Parker isn't into face painting he wanted the cow painted on his hand.

Museum of Play

Friday we got to go to a children's museum. It turns out we weren't the only people with the great idea, while we were there we saw 6 other families we know from Buffalo. Here is a group shot with some of Parker's friends.
The kids loved the train ride.

They got to drive a helicopter
Sit in Big Birds Nest
Here are the mom's of all the cute kids.

Thursday

We started out the day by going to the Air force base to get our military I.D. It was fun to see all the planes, Parker was so sad he wasn't going to get to fly on a plane. We followed up the Air force base with a little shopping at the outlet mall then stopped at the park on our way home. The weather wasn't the warmest, but we all still had fun.

Splash Lagoon

On Wednesday we got to go to an Indoor Waterpark compliments of our friends the Gardners.
Parker was in heaven, it was fun to see how brave he was. He loved to splash in the water and go down the slides.
It took Kenzie about an hour to get comfortable, but once she was she was in heaven. She wasn't scared of anything. She loved having the water splashed on her face.
The kids spent one hour straight going down the slide.
Kenzie was adorable, after about 15 minutes of practice she had mastered the slide. She did everything by herself, I just had to catch her and put her back on the ground so she could climb back up the stairs.

Chuck E. Cheese

As a reward for surviving their doctor's appointments we took the kids to their favorite place.Umm, I have to be honest I also think this might be one of Anthony's favorite places.
